WHAT IS BOLTS?

We took a standard deck of playing cards and turned each card into a unique skateboarding trick with multiple variations to teach the progression and language of skateboarding. Each card has QR codes that take you directly to several examples and how-to videos of that trick.

The four suits represent the four approaches to skateboarding (Regular, Fakie, Nollie, and Switch). The cards cover the core skateboarding tricks starting with the basic ollie and boardslide all the way up to advanced tricks like 360 flips and Smith grinds.

HOW DO I PLAY?

Shuffle the deck and draw a card. Spin it to change the trick. Depending on the card, spinning can alternate between turning frontside and backside or between kickflip and heelflip. The deck includes optional Joker cards that can be used to modify each trick, making over 200 possible tricks in each deck!

The Flip and Grind decks are designed to complement each other. Draw a card from each deck and create a line (kickflip followed by a boardslide) or a trick combination (kickflip to boardslide). The possibilities are endless! The back of the box has a few game ideas, or make up your own to match your skill level. You can even just use them as a standard deck of playing cards for games like Solitaire and Texas Hold 'em.
